Born In Montreal and raised in the vibrant regions of Kawawachikamach, Quebec, and Eeyou Istchee, Steve Einish carries the blood of both Cree and Naskapi heritage, a fusion that would shape his artistic journey. From an early age, Einish found himself inspired by the rich tapestry of his cultural roots, drawing strength from his diverse heritage to fuel his creative fire.

Life wasn't always smooth sailing for Einish. In his juvenile days, he found himself entangled in the clutches of the law. However, it was during this time that music became his solace, his beacon of hope amidst turbulent waters. Captivated by the power of music to transcend boundaries and unite communities, Einish developed an unwavering passion for the art form that would shape his destiny.

In 2014, tragedy struck when Einish lost People from his Community Kawawachikamach in a devastating accident in Montreal involving their rap group. The profound loss further ignited his determination to make a lasting impact in the world of music. Fueled by grief, he channeled his emotions into his craft and embarked on a transformative journey.

In 2015, Einish's relentless pursuit of musical excellence led him to the prestigious Canadian Music School, where he honed his skills and expanded his musical horizons. Armed with newfound knowledge and an unyielding dedication, he emerged as a force to be reckoned with.

Recognizing the immense potential of Indigenous hip hop as a powerful medium for storytelling and cultural expression, Einish embarked on a groundbreaking venture. In 2016, he took the helm as the manager of Violent Ground, an Indigenous hip hop duo determined to carve their own path in the music industry. With Einish's guidance and his deep understanding of the Indigenous experience, Violent Ground soared to new heights, capturing the hearts of fans across the nation.

Beyond his role as a musician and manager, Einish's impact reverberated throughout the community. Recognizing the need for quality sound production, he established a thriving sound business that catered to events, concerts, and community gatherings. From the pulsating beats of high-energy concerts to the harmonious resonance of important community meetings, Einish's sound business became the lifeblood of numerous gatherings, fostering unity and connection.
